HIT THE ROAD
The June Mountain parking lot is located about 4 miles from the South Junction of US 395 and State Route 158. To get here, reference the parking map or navigate using Google Maps. Arrive early as parking can fill up on busy weekends.
From Southern California
You'll pass Death Valley, Mt. Whitney and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. Take I-5 north to State Route 14 to US 395 north to State Route 158, approx. 395 miles.
From San Francisco
In the winter, take I-80 to State Route 50 to the Kingsbury Grade cutoff to US 395 south to State Route 158, approx. 300 miles. During the summer, it is possible to drive through Yosemite National Park via State Route 120 east (Tioga Road).
From Nevada/Lake Tahoe
Drive through miles of scenic backcountry, Bodie State Historical Park and Mono Lake. Take US 395 south to State Route 158, approx. 145 miles.
From Las Vegas
Tour the desert's interesting rock formations and old gold mining towns. One of several options is US 95 north to State Route 266 west; turn slight left to State Route 168 to US 395 north to State Route 158, approx. 330 miles.
